What I don’t understand is how Jake knew that there was a fire in Cinnamonbun’s house. The paper is cut off before it states where the fire happened, but I think it’s talking about Cinnamonbun’s house lighting on fire

Three theories:

1. Either Finn and Jake really did go to the future and that’s the crappiest one page newspaper in the world (which I still don’t think happened because the story on the right said that Jake wrote the story, and I don’t think he would be writing things in the newspaper)

2. Finn and/or Jake wrote that down. Something is up with Finn and Jake. Jake predicted his death before and although he was saved, he thinks that the same circumstances are supposed to happen when Finn isn’t around. And Finn was able to predict Billy’s death/possession by the Lich.

Plus, everyone thought that the whole thing surrounding Peppermint Butler was a joke until it was revealed that Peppermint Butler actually has ties to the underworld and everything. This thing here can be seen as the same thing

Usually when coincidences happen in the show, they aren’t random and serve as some kind of plot device later on

3. This is just something random and I’m looking too much into it

I just thought that was something interesting to share
